Knife engraving

At a first thought, one would wonder what in the world would be the purpose of either engraving a knife blade or giving a knife as a gift. There are actually more than one very good reason. The concept of giving a knife as a gift could signify a very important moment. One example is a father-son moment. Every boy remembers his first pocketknife. Every knife after that eventually fades from memory, but the moment when a boys Dad thinks that he is responsible enough for a pocketknife will stay with him for the rest of his life. If that knife were to have the date engraved in it and the boys name, it would only be that much more important and special.

Another individual where the knife is a great present is the outdoorsman. For example, let’s say that your husband is a deer hunter. Today he has gotten the biggest buck deer of his life. Normally, he would only have photographs and his own memories to remember this moment by. However, if you gave him a buck knife with words, “12 point Buck, by John Smith, 2007” engraved in it with a picture of a deer, you can bet he would cherish it and place it in a special spot where everyone could see it.

Also, just as some individual collect plates and bells from every country that they have been to, outdoorsmen do the same with knives. What a grand display it would make to have a wall adorned with knives from every destination engraved with the name of the country into the blade. Talk about a great gift!

There are a number of occasions where an engraved knife would be the perfect gift, but the best part is that you can be certain that your gift will be original. Yours will be the gift that stands out amongst all the rest and that will be seen and appreciated for years to come.
